John came back from a Moab trip and asked me if I ever heard of MOOTS bicycles. Of course I had. MOOTS has the reputation of building the best Titanium bikes. On top of that, they also have the YBB, the ingenious rear suspension. With a simple simple story and an email, MOOTS became a supporter of our team. I think they liked our community work. We first met Don and Gillian (ZombieRunner) when they were two silicon valley people with a running addiction. They knew more about running, running gear and nutrition than anyone I had met. They also understood the needs of adventure racers during long events.
In the early years, we would order stuff online and go pick it up at their house in Palo Alto, California. The bonus with every order was the amazing espresso that Don made. Today, they have a nice store in Palo Alto. And.., Don is still making great espresso (not free) at the shop.
