Race Distance: 12 hour, starting to get into multi-day
Best AR Moment: Running while holding up a teammate's bike for the last 3 miles of a race while that teammate rode my bike (and had a tow set up to my bike)
Worst AR Moment: Hour and a half to fix a flat because we didn't communicate properly before the ride

 

 

The Gear:
Mountain Bike: Klein Attitude XV
Running Shoes: Asics GT-2130 (searching for new trail shoes)
Kayaking: 19' surf ski and a paddle not worth mentioning (until I buy that Epic paddle)

More about me:
Before I was doing AR I was: A swimmer in highschool, waterpolo player in university and I competed in lifeguard competitions throughout both.
Why I adventure race: You get to see and do things most people won't, plus there's someone to talk to during the race.
Best Mountain Bike Location: Saratoga Gap, single track, rolling hills and a fun climb.
Best Trail for Running: Black Mountain, Rancho San Antonio.  Combine it with Rhus Ridge for a 10 mile out and back with 2000 feet of elevation.
Favorite Food for when I'm racing: sandwiches (tuna or PB and banana)
What's in my water bottle during races: Nuun
